Keiko Moriuchi CV

 

1943 Born in Osaka, Japan.

1962 Studied Japanese Literature at Osaka Shoin Women’s University in Japan.

1963 Studied under Jiro Yoshihara, founder of the Gutai Art Association.

1965 Moved to New York City in March. Her studio, located in the same building as Ad Reinhardt's, became a site of exchange with visiting artists (Jirō Yoshihara, Michio Yoshihara, and Ghiju Saitō) and facilitated connections with New York–based artists (Isamu Noguchi, Matsumi Kanemitsu, and Yukihisa Isobe).

1968 Became the final member to join the Gutai Art Association.

1972 Dissolution of the Gutai Art Association following the death of Jiro Yoshihara.

Present Lives and works in Kyoto, Japan
